Background Color on Symbol Stix

Hi, Last week I was able to download symbolstix in gif or jpg format and have the same background color as it appeared online. Now, the background shows up as black. It doesn't matter if I am using internet explorer or google chrome. I have not changed settings on my computers. This happens both at home and school. Any suggestions as to how to make the new background color disappear would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. |

Hi Janet, It sounds like you may be downloading symbols in a PNG format. PNGs have a transparent background - Depending on the software of device you are using, the picture may show up with a black background because of the transparent attribute of the format. Have you tried changing the format in SymbolStix ONLINE and re-downloading the symbol?
